Travel posters are used by tourism bodies to entice us into picking their country for our next trip away. But with so many things to see and cultural quirks, it’s not easy to pack in everything.
Instead, poster creators often focus on an abstract idea or famous landmark, together with a slogan that sums up what the country and its people, landscapes and culture have to offer visitors.
But what if robots dreamed up tourist posters without having been there?
Well, we’ve found out.
At Stasher we created AI-generated images using famous country tourism slogans to find out how they would be visualised. We used a tool called Midjourney, giving AI only the country and the tourism slogan. The rest was up to them.
